Last night was AWESOME!
Last night was a wonderful evening! Julie and I have been spending time with some of our friends and one weekend, Julie and Julie promised Julie's daughter that they could come by and meet the cats (ok, that was a complicated sentence, but there are two Julies in this story). They got to the apartment, but Julie had left her keys behind when we met the others for dinner, and since I was at Fry's with Sean, they couldn't get into the house. Julie's daughter, Sydney, was quite distraught and VERY unhappy with the situation, so there were promises all around about coming over to meet the cats at a later date.
This weekend, we had Julie, Sean, and Sydney over for dinner and to meet the kittens! The grumpy cats were doped up, so this was going to be a great time! The folks showed up at 4:00PM and we spent the afternoon and evening playing with the cats, grilling on my miniGrill, and watching a couple of movies (well, the movies were on, but no one was paying attention to them). After dinner, a couple of us popped out a board game and introduced Sydney to gaming.
The evening ended up with Sydney pushing Lucky a bit too much and getting snapped at. No one was bitten, but Sydney was quite upset. She was VERY tired, so once she calmed down, she said "good night" to the kittens and went home.
I wasn't all hot about having people over because out apartment is just really small. It wasn't so bad because we are all close friends and we have a clean floor to hang out on, but I still can't wait to have an actual house. I like having people over, but ever since I moved in here, it's been my one sanctuary. There are few people who I am willing to invite in, but that's always the way I've been.
So, Sean and Julie, if you read this, thank you so much for visiting and I can't wait until we can do it again!
